Acronyms (e.g., NASA, CAD, AIDS, MRI, ASAP, FYI) are found in all kinds of literature. • Detects acronyms in MS Word or similar text files with very high accuracy.
• Creates a table of all acronyms found in the text and sorts it alphabetically.
• Exports this table in MS Word/MS Excel/HTML and XML formats so that users can simply copy and paste it into their own documents.
• Reports how many times each acronym was found.
• Presents the most likely definition found in the text.
• Provides information on whether or not the acronym was defined at the first occurrence or later.
• Optionally pulls definitions for found acronyms from a user-provided source (as comma-separated values).
• Creates new source files of acronyms that can be used as a reference for future documents.
